If you’ve been following my blog you would have read that I am working on establishing better relationships with my wedding peers. As a Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer I don’t get to network as much as I would like due to my travel schedule. However I am making it a lifestyle to build the relationships. Today’s blog features Mr TyRon Wells of Wells Consulting Design Co. We met while in Barbados at the Coterie Retreat in December. We later connected over a webniar I conducted for 17hats (give it a try). We had such a great time that I knew he would be the ideal person to interview. He is a Memphis full service wedding & event planning company with personality and poise to make your day or event amazing.
Q. What is Your Business name and website address
Wells Consulting Design Co. (Formerly WellsConsulting Events and Designs)
Q. If you had only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
Q. What’s the one accomplishment you’re most proud of? Why?
Becoming an established brand in Memphis and the surrounding areas. I’ve also been able to branch into other markets such as Atlanta, St. Louis, Indiana and heading to Houston in April. This is an industry that can be heavily dominated by those who have been in this for years, so naturally people tend to hire businesses that they are familiar with to obtain their services. Wells Consulting is becoming one of those brands that people trust to deliver noteworthy designs.
Q. If I were to ask your current clients what your greatest strength is, what would he or she tell me?
The greatest strength would be my devotion to the task. I just don’t deliver in a group/personal/professional setting… I attempt to supersede standard expectations and deliver the WOW!
Q. What’s one thing you would like to do better? What’s your plan for improving?
Become better at offering my clients unique and memorable designs. I am currently putting a plan in motion to take a Preston Bailey class and attend other design workshops to assist me in elevating my skill set.
Q. Describe a time when you were asked to do something you weren’t trained to do. How did you handle it?
I was tasked with the responsibility to build an archway on spot at a reception using curly willow. At that time in my design career, I was a novice and attempted to avoid complicated projects. The designer trusted me to build it and with my years of experience in IT, I was able to quickly YouTube a few videos and successfully complete the design.
Q. Describe the client who would get the very best work from you.
The is no particular description for a client that will get the very best work from me. ALL of my clients are treated equally and receive high quality services regardless of what is rendered.
Q. Where do you see you and your business in the next 5-10 years?
The future of Wells Consulting Design Co is looking very promising! Recently, I attended a retreat hosted by Munaluchi and it inspired to be to refine the way I operate my business and deliver my services. We are now a design company that offer services for weddings, events and holiday decor. It was challenging to make this move but realizing the talent that I have been blessed with was confirmation. So the next 5-10 years, Wells Consulting will be a household brand that will be able to supersede standard expectations.
