It’s not often my wife and I have a free weekend to do absolutely nothing. However one of my written goals for 2015 was to take a trip together creating new memories. A few months ago I decided I was going to pencil in the 4th of July on our calendar. We weren’t going to accept any wedding or corporate assignments. That weekend belonged to us. That also meant no conversations with clients or inquiries. Since we’re always connected to clients it was hard to not respond, but we did it.I’ve always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon but driving there wasn’t going to happen per my wife’s “NO SIR!” She wasn’t up for a 16 hour one-way drive for the weekend then turn back around. We decided to visit Palo Duro Canyon. The moment we drove up I was amazed by its splendor. I’d never seen anything like it before. My wife thought it was funny since she’d already seen the Grand Canyon. I guess I need to take more trips out west. Saturday afternoon we took a nature walk for a few hours. That evening we attended an outdoor concert with Gin Blossoms as the featured act and finished with a firework show in Canyon Texas. Here are some of the images from our trip.
